Gyimah suspended for Aces in clash against AmaZulu

Mpumalanga Black Aces will be forced to line up without their Ghanaian midfielder Edwin Gyimah when they face AmaZulu this weekend after he picked up his fourth yellow of the season.

Gyimah, who is currently on loan to AmaZayoni from SuperSport United, has featured in 10 of Aces games in all competitions this season, playing the full 90 minutes in all but one of them.

However, as Clive Barker’s side look to recover from their four-game winless streak against Usuthu this weekend, he will have to do so without his talented Ghanaian, who was booked in the second half against Chippa United this week.

Gyimah’s booking against Chippa in the 2-2 draw was his fourth of the season, meaning that he now faces a one-game ban, but will be able to return to action when they take on Free State Stars one week later.

The 23-year-old has been used predominantly as a central defender so far this season, although has also been called upon as a defensive midfielder when needed
