Derrick Mensah on the radar of many European clubs

Clubs from Germany, Croatia, Netherlands and Russia have expressed interest in the Ghanaian defensive midfielder Derrick Mensah who plays for Czech side Banik Ostrava, reveals Chief scout David Balda, who brought Derrick to the club.

"Many clubs from Germany, Croatia, Netherlands and Russia are asking about Derrick Mensah. Serious interests are from Dinamo Zagreb and SC Freiburg," said David Balda in an interview with Eurofotbal.cz.

"Derrick's style of play is much different from other defensive midfielders in Czech Republic. He is not only powerful but an all-rounder with great passes and fantastic ball technique," said Balda.

Mensah, who played 12 games this season has not hidden his passion which to play for Liverpool FC, where his idol Steven Gerrard plays.

"If his performance continues, then he has potential to play in the best clubs in the Premier League," said Balda.
