Commission of Inquiry: Boakye-Agyeman appointed media officer

Ghana’s Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the country’s 2014 World Cup participation has released a statement revealing the appointment of a Media Officer as well as an outline on individuals and bodies to be invited to facilitate its work.

On Monday, the Commission postponed its first sitting to Wednesday 13th August to allow the invited institutions (outlined below) to have ample time to prepare their responses.

The Press Release dated 11 August 2014 and signed by Justice Senyo Dzamefe, Chairman of the three-member Commission which has Moses Foh-Amoaning and Kofi Anokye Owusu-Darko as members reads:

The office of the Commission of Inquiry into Brazil 2014 is in session.

The Commission during its sittings will be inviting the following Bodies/Persons to appear before the Commission as and when appropriate.

1. Ministries of Youth and Sports, Foreign Affairs, Finance and the bank of Ghana.

2. Management/Technical teams of Black Stars and the playing body of the Black Stars (if necessary) as and when appropriate.

3. All Corporate Sponsors of the Black Stars for the Brazil 2014 World Cup.

4. Service Providers of the Black Stars team to the World Cup, example Travel and Tour, Caterers etc.

5. “Ambassadors”/Artistes to the Brazil 2014 World Cup.

6. And any other person with information the Commission might need to facilitate its work.

7. Any person/body with information/interest on the Brazil World Cup can pass it through the Secretariat of the Commission at the Accra Stadium, through the Registrar, Commission of Inquiry, FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014.
