Massive endorsement for Flag of Vim Campaign

The Flag of Vim campaign is receiving massive endorsement from Ghanaians willing to display their patriotism by signing onto the flag.
The campaign is gathering up momentum and Ghanaians across the country are patiently waiting for the Flag of Vim campaign trail to visit their region.
Media houses have also pitched in to propagate the essence of the Flag of Vim campaign and its benefit to the national team, the Black Stars.
The Flag of Vim is an 8 by 100 feet giant Ghana flag which is to accommodate the signatures of as many Ghanaians as possible, to show solidarity and support to the Black Stars during the 2014 World Cup tournament in Brazil.
It is Ghana’s biggest gift to the Black Stars as each signature will carry the hope of the person signing it and it will be his or her expression of support for the Black Stars in their quest for glory.
Not many Ghanaians will have the means to travel to Brazil to physically support the national team, but the Flag of Vim will give Ghana the chance to have an overwhelming presence in Brazil, with the signatures of millions to show for it.
The Flag of Vim will be flown to Brazil and officially handed over to the Black Stars.
As it hangs in the stadium, it will invoke in the Stars, the faith of a nation, the hope of a people.
In a bid to get the word out there about the campaign, the Flag of Vim team has been visiting some media houses.
The team on Wednesday paid a courtesy call on the management of Metro TV Ghana.
The station’s Managing Director, Fadi Fatal, endorsed the campaign and further commended the team for embarking on this novel project to gather support for the Stars.
Mr. Fatal promised Ghanaians the station will contribute its quota to support the Ghana national team as they make their third appearance at the world tournament.
The management and staff of Metro TV endorsed the campaign by signing onto the flag with enthusiasm and glee.
The Flag of Vim team similarly made an appearance on Multi TV’s 'Sports Today’, a live sports show with Nathaniel Attoh.
A run down was given on the campaign, the places to be toured and the positive feedback received so far by the general public.

Half Time with Nathan Quao on Citi FM, later played host to the team.
The Flag of Vim campaign leader, Matthew Ansah assured the general public that “the flag is huge, it has room for everybody. If you cannot sign, your thumb print will do. Any means by which you can show support to our Stars is welcome.”
Mr. Ansah urged the general public to look out for the flag as it begins its campaign trail across Ghana beginning May 29, 2014.
“The team will be accompanied by a ‘jama’ group who will lighten things up by cheering, singing and dancing to ginger people to show their love and believe in our national team,” he said.
He remarked saying, “you may not be able to go to Brazil but your signatures will. When the Stars see this giant flag with overwhelming support, they will know that our hope is in them and so is our prayers.”
Citi FM staff including, the host of Traffic Avenue and the Programmes Manager, Jessica Opare Saforo, Head of the Citi Business Desk, Vivian Kai Mensah, Citi Parliamentary Correspondent, Richard Dela Sky hosts of the Citi Prime News,Martin Asiedu-Dartey and Betty Kankam-Boadu, Deputy Director of News Programming, Nana Boakye-Yiadom and Citifmonline Manager, Mawuli Tsikata all signed onto the giant flag.
The Flag of Vim Campaign team is billed to appear on other sports shows on the various media houses in the capital.
They will also be present at the Ohene Gyan Sports Stadium on Friday, May 23 for the farewell match for the Black Stars.
Football lovers who will attend the match will have the opportunity to sign onto it.
The team will also be in Parliament on June 4 to get the endorsement of Ghana’s legislators and other Parliamentary workers.
Churches, schools, offices, people on the streets and football lovers and supporters of the Black Stars will surely be given the chance to sign onto the Flag of Vim.
