Ghana midfielder Salifu to return to Fiorentina

The sporting director of Modena Giuseppe Cannella has hinted that Ghanaian enforcer Amidu Salifu will return to Fiorentina after his loan deal this summer.

The 21-year-old joined the Serie B side on loan last summer and has so far been impressive in the middle but the Stadio Alberto Braglia outfit are ready to let him go.

“Salifu? I think that he will return to Fiorentina at the end of the season. He needs to grow and is getting better,” Cannella told Tuttob.com.

He also stated that Senegalese striker El Khuma Babacar, who is also on loan from Fiorentina, and has netted 14 goals in 27 appearances will also return to Florence.

“Babacar is on loan just like Salifu with right of redemption. I think that after an excellent season with us, Fiorentina will take him back. We will get adequate compensation,” Cannella opined.

Salifu has also featured for Vicenza and Catania all on loan.
