Berekum Chelsea claim head coach Tony Lokko is still at post

Berekum Chelsea General Manager Nana Oduro-Sarfo has squashed rumours about the future of head coach Tony Lokko.

Lokko missed their last league match at home against Wa All Stars and did not travel with the team to Tunisia to play Al Ahly Benghazi in the return leg of their CAF Champions League tie.

Local media reports claim the former Amidaus Professionals coach will not return to the club after some thugs went to his house to question him why he drew 0-0 in the first leg against Ahly Benghazi.

“Tony position as our head coach is never in doubt as I am concerned,” Oduro-Nyarko told GHANASoccernet.com.

“His absence from the bench is one that the board is aware and that something that we would like to keep private.

“If people say the coach is about to go then I don’t know where they are getting their information from.”

Berekum Chelsea will host Hasaacas on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League.
