Glo to send 25 loyal customers to Brazil 2014

Glo Mobile Ghana, a subsidiary of Globacom, Africa’s indigenous Telecommunications Company, has announced it is sponsoring a contingent of pre- paid 22 customers and three dealers on its network to watch and cheer the Black Stars of Ghana and other African teams to victory in Brazil at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Launching the promo dubbed “Les Go To Brazil” in Accra, Mr. Akeem Kazeem, Head of Business at Glo Mobile Ghana said the company wants the lucky winners to fulfill their passion of seeing and experiencing soccer at the highest level in the land of soccer.

He said prepaid customers who cumulatively recharge their lines with a minimum of 15ghc talk time from now till the end of May, stand a good chance of being selected for the all- expenses-paid trip.

“Additionally, in the event that a customer wins to go to Brazil, but is unable to make the trip due to inability to obtain a passport or visa for the trip, or for any other reason, such a subscriber will still receive a flat take home sum of five thousand Ghana Cedis (5,000ghc)” he said.

According to Kazeem, Glo has lined up one thousand consolation prizes for prepaid subscribers who may not be lucky to win, and will earn airtime worth 10ghc which will be credited to their main accounts.

He encouraged all those not yet on Glo network to hurry and switch to Glo as opportunities like the “Let’s Go To Brazil” are rare and the promo is another evidence of Glo’s love for football and their commitment to ensuring that the game in Ghana is injected with the requisite doses of fun and excitement, especially when the world’s best gather to trade tackles.

He noted that “Let’s Go To Brazil’ promo is a perfect recipe for the creative infusion of fun and excitement into sports.

Van Vicker, an international film star who was master of ceremonies hinted that this is the second time that Glo is sponsoring people associated with its network on trips abroad to fulfill their passion for soccer.

Last year, Glo sponsored a number its trade dealers from Ghana, Nigeria and Benin on a trip of a lifetime to Old Trafford, in Manchester, United Kingdom.
