Opoku Nti to stay on as Kotoko chief till end of season

Samuel Opoku Nti will stay on as Kotoko General Manager till the end of the season, GHANAsocceret.com can confirm.

The mandate of the iconic Kotoko figure has been extended till the end of the season following the expiration of his extended three-month mandate.

Opoku Nti’s future has been hugely speculated in the local media after the club was bundled out of the CAF Champions League.

Kotoko were beaten by unknown Liberian side Barrack Young Controllers at the preliminary stage which sparked massive anger among their followers.

However the under-pressure manager has got the backing of the under-fire board, who have asked him to stay on until the end of the current campaign.

Kotoko are cruising to their third successive Ghana Premier League title after opening a 12-point lead at the summit of the table.
