Ayew hopes to repay ‘father’ Renard

Ghana international Jordan Ayew has stated that Sochaux boss Herve Renard is like a father to him and is about time he repays the faith and the courage the coach has in him.

The 22-year-old, who is on loan from Marseille, has drawn blank in all games for the relegation-threatened side, a situation that is bothering the striker.

“Herve Renard is like a father to me. He speaks to me and it goes well here. It is a good experience to have him,” Ayew told Footmercato.

“I have opportunities, but without success. But I work great defensively and I sometimes lack clarity.”

“If I had only thought of my mouth, I would not accept to play. But I do my best for the team. I hope the goal drought will end soon and I will start scoring,” Ayew added.
