Aduana chief lauds Adams' Black Stars call

Chief Executive Officer of Aduana Stars Albert Yahaya says goalkeeper Stephen Adams’ latest call-up to the Black Stars for the friendly against Montenegro will motivate local players to do their best on the local scene.

Adams failed to make the cut for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa after he was dropped by Former Coach Milovan Rajevac.

But after performing well for the local Black Stars at the CHAN tournament, the 26 year old has been invited for Ghana’s pre-World Cup friendly match scheduled for March 5 ahead of number one choice Fatau Dauda.

“I am not surprised at all; it tells you that hard work really pays. Remember he was almost there in 2010 so for me it will go a long way to motivate the other Local Boys because if you do well, your work will be recognized,” Commey said.

Adams has been churning out some great performances for Aduana Stars over the years and he showed class at this year’s CHAN tournament in South Africa as he helped Ghana to a Silver medal feat.
