Kuffour fined for training ground incident

Bayern Munich defender Sammy Kuffour has been fined ?10,000 ($10,000/83million cedis) by his Bundesliga side after a training ground incident involving teammate Jens Jeremies.

Coach Ottmar Hitzfeld ruled Kuffour was responsible for the incident and imposed the fine on the Ghana defender.

Three weeks ago, two other Bayern player, Bixente Lizarazu and Nico Kovac also got into a fight during practice. That time, Lizarazu was fined.

It is not the first time Kuffour has been in trouble for fighting with his team-mates.

In March last year he lost his temper when some Black Stars players performed 'Juju' before a World Cup qualifier in Sudan.

After the game, which Ghana lost 1-0, he was accused of attacking the referee, though the charges were dropped by Fifa.

Kuffour was also fined by Bayern last year for allegedly having talks with Barcelona about a possible move - an allegation he strongly denied.
