UK based Sports Agency to scout for football talents in Ghana

Accra, Oct. 18, A United Kingdom based Sports and Entertainment, New Vision and Arts (NVA) Entertain has commenced a talent hunt exercise in Ghana in search of football talents for their outfit.
NVA Entertainment will commence the talent hunt exercise in Dzodze in the Volta Region before moving to selected parts of the country to observe players from clubs for possible recruitment.
Chris Nathaniel, Chief Executive Officer of NVA Entertainment in an interview said, having operated in UK for the past ten years, they have decided to establish a branch in Ghana as part of efforts to spread their tentacles across the globe.
He said the move to Ghana was influenced by huge number of football talents in the country and the desire to contribute to the development and promotion of the game.
Nathaniel noted that, his agency was unique because they do not only manage the life of players on the field by looking for clubs for them, but also provide them with business ideas to manage their life after football.
“Our mission is therefore a double one; we look for clubs for players and take them through entrepreneurial lessons to live a worthy life after football.
“This is because we believe there is life after football and players will need to manage their lives well and make the best out of their active days in the game.” He stated.
He said NVA Entertainments has under its management Tom Ince, son of former English national star Paul Ince, Andre Wingston of Liverpool, Victor Andrade of Santos Brazil, whilst they have also provided business advice to Rio Ferdinand of Manchester United and England as well as Ghana’s Daniel Opare.
Kwasi Amponsa, Country Director of NVA Entertainment, said his outfit has long term plan of establishing a football Academy in Ghana.
He said the academy will serve as the base for talent identification and grooming and was confident it will provide footballers the opportunity to develop their talents.
