Esperance recall Harrison Afful

Ghana defender Harrison Afful was not on the flight to Accra with the rest of his Black Stars team-mates as he has been recalled by Esperance.

The 26-year-old is waiting at the Johannesburg International Airport to catch a flight back to Tunis after receiving emergency call from his club.

The former Asante Kotoko versatile full-back completed both games for Ghana in the 2014 World Cup qualifying victories over Sudan and Lesotho.

Afful was expected to fly down to Ghana to enjoy holiday with family and friends, but has got to rejoin the North African side, who have an impending assignment.

He has been one of the most influential players for the club since joining them three seasons ago.
