Baba 'Armando' leaves Berekum Chelsea

Ex-Ghana international Baba 'Armando' Adamu has confirmed his departure from Berekum Chelsea.

Adamu, 33, joined the Blues in 2011 but was unable to play a single game for the side due to recurrent injuries.

The former Asante Kotoko and Lokomotiv Moscow gifted player has opted to quit the club to seek revival with a lower division side.

“I am no longer going to play for Berekum Chelsea,” Adamu told Asempa FM.

“It will be better for me to move to a Second Division club in Accra and bring them up. I am available for a move now and any lower division club interested in me can come forward,” he said.

Adamu recently courted controversy when he claimed the current Black Stars players lacked the quality to win the elusive African Cup of Nations title.
