GHALCA boosts Kotoko's morale

The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has donated assorted items to Kumasi Asante Kotoko the only Ghanaian club participating in Africa to enhance their preparation for their crucial remaining matches, specifically their clash with El-Mahala from Algeria in the first round of the quarter-finals of the cup winners cup competition.

The items include a ram, a carton of milk, two bags of rice, two cartons of milo, six crates of eggs, four crates of coca cola soft drinks and six cartons of viva mineral water.

The administrative manager of GHALCA Cudjoe Fianoo told this reporter that the gesture is to boost the morale of the players to enable them to give off their best. He indicated that the presentation was GHALCA’s widow’s mite to assist the management of Kotoko in the clubs attempt to win the cup.

He also said the contribution has become a ritual that the association renders to clubs that partake in continental assignments. Champion club, Accra Hearts of Oak also benefited from GHALCA magnanimity during the 2000 edition of the CAF Champions League. Other beneficiaries include Goldfields, Ghapoha.
