Ghanaian Has Qualified Coaches - Jones

Still reminiscing from Sunday’s victory over his former club, Accra Hearts of Oak, Liberty Professionals coach, Cecil Jones Attuquayefio says it is about time Ghanaian coaches tackle their jobs professionally and more responsibly.

Despite the fact that Jones’ team beat Hearts on Sunday, he praised the current Hearts of Oak coach, Herbert Addo describing his exploits as an achievement worthy of emulation. Hebert Addo has transformed Hearts of Oak culminating in their 18-match unbeaten run.

Jones says although Ghana has equally good coaches who can transform the various teams, their efforts are hampered by public perception that they lack the technical abilities.

According to the Liberty manager, Ghanaian coaches have played a great role in football development in the country and will and can continue to play the leading roles provided Ghanaians stop the criticisms that shatter the hopes of Ghanaian coaches.
