Faisal deepen RTU’s woes

Visiting Real Tamale United (RTU) succumbed to a 0-1 defeat to King Faisal in their Glo Premier League week-12 meeting at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi.

The host’s Sulley Mohammed, scored the only goal in the 51st minutes connecting home from a rebound after the losers’ goalkeeper Collins Addo, pounced back to play a spot kick effected by Eugene Prempeh.

RTU hoping for all points to give their relegation battle hope looked good from the onset and almost broke the deadlock on the half hour mark when Anas Ghani’s long ranger missed target narrowly.

After that scare, Faisal was forced to tighten their defence, resulting to counter attacks. This change in tactics soon paid off when the victors earned a penalty after RTU’s Hassan Mohammed handled the ball in the penalty box.

Prempeh, quickly stepped up to effect the kick which Addo, did well to parry, but only as far as Mohammed who finished off from the rebound to wrap up all three points for Faisal.
