Pappoe rejects chance to stand for GFA Vice-Presidency

The former Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, Fred Pappoe has politely declined the opportunity of standing for the position, left vacant by the death of the incumbent, Jordan Anagblah.

According to our well-placed sources, Pappoe was approached by some highly influential people in the top echelons of the GFA to consider standing for his old position, but he politely turned down the request.

Footy-ghana.com also understands that Pappoe has also been approached to take back his old position as chairman of the Black Stars management committee, but it is unclear whether he has taken a decision on that.

Pappoe, who remains a member of the GFA’s Executive Committee, was a member of the GFA’s Emergency committee until he lost out last year to Anagblah in the GFA elections.
