Satellites to show mettle against Uganda

Ghana after their world domination at the U-20 level have failed to sustain their form but one man is eager to return the 2009 World and African champions to the top.

Stop-gap Black Satellites coach, Maxwell Konadu did not enjoy the best of starts in his new role of the U-20 side as his team went down 3-1 to Uganda in the first leg of the second-round of qualifying for the 2013 Africa Youth Championship.

Losing to the Hippos in Nakivubo has turned the tie against Konadu's side ahead of Saturday's decisive clash at the Tamale Stadium.

Yet, Konadu hasn't given up as he bids to ensure that the Black Satellites do not crush out of next year's Championship's in Algeria.

The Ghana coach is confident home advantage can help his side overturn defeat to Uganda.

“I’m sure we can overturn the result in Ghana,” the Black Satellites coach said.

A good result for Ghana will qualify them to the final round of qualifying with a possible clash against either Morocco or Gambia.
