Bismarck Asiedu has joined Medeama, ending one of the most protracted transfer stories in the Ghana Premier League this year. The Western Region club confirmed the move on their official website on Friday.
"We happily announce the signing of six new players to the club and welcome them to the Medeama family," Vice President Albert Commey told medeamasc.com.
"We believe their quality will enhance our objective of wresting the Premier League title in the upcoming season. We wish to assure our fans that we’re leaving no stone unturned in our resolve to make a huge impact nex season"
"Our plan is to strengthen the team and we believe these signings and a few more will help us in that direction."
Asiedu was the marquee signing in the swoop, but Medeama also named five players for the new season. Asiedu has been key in Dwarfs' story in their return to the Premier League last season and he described Medeama's advances as one with "great intent and commitment in securing" his signature.
AshGold defender Henry Enchil and Joseph Halm of Tema Youth are the other two, along with Asiedu, to have been bought by Medeama from Ghana PL sides. The experienced Tema Youth goalkeeper leaves after loyal service to the relegated side. Known for his good positional sense, Halm has been committed to the Tema Youth course for long and had been one of their best players in the season past.
The other newly acquired players join the Mauves and Yellow from Mighty Jets (Richmond Nketia), Rainbow FC (Bright Dodzi Laryea) and Deportivo (Joseph Gordon).
