Seth Owusu to choose between Hearts & Chaleroi

Former Medeama player Seth Owusu has been placed under the radar by Hearts of Oak coach C.K. Akunnor and could soon seal a deal to the former Ghana champions.

90 MINUTES is reliably informed by a Hearts of Oak insider that Coach Akunnor is keen on grabbing the player who also previously featured in the US Major League Soccer for Chivas USA.

We can also reveal that Owusu, who still has one year of his contract with Medeama remaining, is not keen on extending his contract with them even though the club are desperate to extend it by two more years.

The highly rated defender is adamant because his agent is working, subject to visa acquisition success, on a move to newly promoted Belgium top flight side Chaleroi who are also keen on the left full back. “Yes I can tell you that Coach Akunnor has spoken to me that he is interested in me and the club in Belgium also want me and have offered a very good deal.

“Let’s see what happens as as I will only consider the deal that best suits my ambitions,” Owusu disclosed to 90 MINUTES in a telephone chat.
