Ghana joined at Group D summit by Sudan

Ghana and Sudan are now joint leaders in Group D in the qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup after the opening day matches.

The Black Stars lead the log by a better goal difference after hammering Lesotho 7-0 on Friday at the Baba Yara Stadium.

A day after Ghana's big victory, Sudan defeated African champions, Zambia 2-0 at home to join Kwesi Appiah's Black Stars at the top.

Both joint-leaders will travel away after their opening home ties.

Ghana travel to Ndola to face Zambia next Saturday while the Sudanese will be the guest of Lesotho in Maseru.
