Extra-Ordinary Congress meets

An Extra-Ordinary Congress of the Ghana Football Association, the first in the New Year will be held today to discuss pertinent sections of the legislation governing the game.

The meeting, convened by the Executive Committee in pursuant to Article 23.5.1 of the GFA Statutes will gather delegates at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of excellence, Prampram and will start at 9.00 am.

GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi will give his opening address before the business of the day begins.

The meeting has been called to discuss the key issues below:

- Proposed amendments to the GFA Statutes

- Proposed amendments to the GFA Regulations:

• Section 1: General Rules

• Section 2: Regulations for the Status and Domestic Transfer of Players

• Section 3: Rules Governing the procedures of the Player Status Committee (PSC) and the Dispute Resolution Committee (DRC)

• Section 4: Club licensing Regulations

- Proposal from the Executive Committee to increase the number of clubs in Division One League Zone 3A from eight (8) to Nine (9) clubs.

- Proposed Ghana Football Association Codes
