Amenya And Co Hauled Before Referees Committee- Report

Referee Joseph Amenya is to be hauled before the Referees Committee of the Ghana Football Association over charges of poor performance during the Charity match between archrivals Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.

Amenya, assistants David Laryea and David Agyin as well as fourth referee Charles Dowuona have been invited by the Ghana Football Association Referees Committee to answer questions about what has been described as a bad performance.

The GFA Referees Committee Chairman, Osei Tutu Agyemang told Kumasi-based radio station Spirit FM that a major issue was the lack of action taken when Asante Kotoko forward Ahmed Toure was hit in the face by Hearts of Oak defender Faisal Yusif.

Osei Tutu also told Spirit FM that this accounted for the officials’ exclusion from officiating matches in the opening Glo Premier League weekend .
