Hafiz Ibrahim deserves Black Stars attention for consistent Egyptian League form - Nana Prempeh

As a sports journalist who has followed Ghanaian footballers across Africa for more than two decades, I do not make such assessments lightly.

Hafiz Ibrahim, popularly known as “The General,” has been outstanding this season in the Egyptian Premier League, and in my view, Black Stars head coach Otto Addo should be paying close attention to him.

Hafiz currently plays for El Gouna FC in the Egyptian Premier League, where he has been highly effective as both a defensive and box-to-box midfielder.

Since joining the club on loan from Attram De Visser Sporting Club midway through the 2024 season, his influence has been immediate and consistent.

The statistics back up his performances. Hafiz has featured in 14 of El Gouna’s 15 league matches, a clear indication of the coaching staff’s trust in him as well as his physical durability.

He has also appeared in seven of the club’s nine cup games, underlining his importance across all competitions.

At this level, consistency, availability, and performance are key attributes—and Hafiz has delivered on all fronts.

What stands out most is his discipline, tactical awareness, and tireless work rate. He dictates the tempo of games, disrupts opposition play, and still contributes offensively when required.

These qualities would be a valuable addition to the Black Stars, particularly as Ghana seeks to deepen its options in midfield.

In my capacity as PRO of Attram De Visser Sporting Club and Head of Sports at XYZ Broadcasting Limited, I can confidently say that Hafiz Ibrahim represents a breed of Ghanaian talent excelling quietly abroad.

Based on current form, “The General” is setting a high standard among Ghanaian players in Egypt this season—and Coach Otto Addo would do well to keep him firmly on the radar.
