African FA president storm Ghana for historic Fifa project

The presidents of over twenty football federations in Africa will storm Accra from Monday for the commissioning of a Fifa Goal project on Wednesday.

Officials from Fifa and Caf will also arrive in the country for the launching of the project in Prampram that will serve the camping venues for all the national teams of Ghana.

The ground-breaking project sponsored by the world governing following the sterling improvement Ghana football has seen over the past six years.

The leaders of the FAs in Nigeria, Togo, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Sierra leone, Guinea Bissau and Gambia will be arriving for the event.

The president of the FAs in Mali, Niger, Uganda, Tanzania, Somalia and Rwanda will also be in the Ghanaian capital Accra for Wednesday launching.

South Africa FA boss, Zimbabwe, Central Africa Republic, Zambia, Senegal, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Congo Brazzaville will also be coming to Ghana.

The number of countries attending the Ghana event could have been higher but for the preparations that some countries are undertaking ahead of the CHAN tournament.

It is also a ringing endorsement of Kwesi Nyantakyi’s work as the Ghana FA which has resulted in the massive high level delegation sent by the various FA.

With the Caf executive committee elections taking place in Sudan next month, Nyantakyi will profit from the attendance as they are said to be huge supporters of the Ghanaian administrator.

Most of the delegates at Wednesday’s event are expected to publicly thrown their weight behind Nyantakyi’s candidature for Caf West Africa Zone B.**
