"We will defend trophy till last hour" - Addo

Accra, Nov. 8, GNA - Coach Hebert Addo, trainer of defending Premier League champions, Aduana Stars has said his charges will defend the league title they won as debutants last season till the final second.

Aduana are third on the 16-team table and Coach Addo believes their dream to successfully defend the trophy is on course. "We are the defending champions and we have played only ten of 30 games. We will continue to strive to come good in the subsequent matches in the weeks ahead."

Aduana pushed two goals past a bruised Kumasi Asante Kotoko side on match day 10 and Coach Addo believes his charges have hit their strides at the right time to give meaning to their title defence. He said "the boys played very well against Kotoko and the victory was very important. Tactically, the players responded well and managed to wear down Kokoto in the second half. Then the goals started coming and it could have been more."

The coach reckons to stage a successful title defence, which means they have to continue to play well and maintain a measure of consistency in the rest of the games.

The defending champions will be on the road to Accra where the play Liberty Professionals next at the Carl Reindorf Park, Dansoman on Sunday, November 11, 2010.

Aduana are four points adrift league leaders, Bechem Chelsea while Liberty are fourth from the bottom on 11 points.
