GFA announces new dates for 2010/2011 Premier League

Accra, July 15, GNA - The Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Thursday announced new dates for the 2010/2011 Premier League as ratified by its Executive Committee.

A statement issued in Accra and signed by Mr K. Ampim-Darko, Deputy General Secretary (Technical) said registration of players begun on Friday, May 21, and it would end on Wednesday August 4.

It said from Thursday August 5 to Wednesday August 11, publication of registered players would be done with verification of registered players taking place from Thursday August 12 to Wednesday August 18.

The statement added that kick-off of the league will begin on Sunday, September 5.

It reminded newly promoted clubs to the Premier League; Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs, Mighty Jets and B.A. Stars to submit their documents of Incorporation as Companies either limited by shares or guarantee to the GFA, according to FA regulations.

In addition, all clubs are required to register a Home and Away strip distinct from each other on forms to be supplied by GFA according to FA regulations.

"Clubs are enjoined to co-operate fully with the Premier League Board for the successful take off of the 2010/2011 league," the statement added.
