Sunderland Centre-back John Mensah was substituted at half-time against Burnley, but manager Steve Bruce says it was just a precaution as he looks to keep the Ghana skipper fit for the final three games.
He added: “John is OK. He will be fit for next week. Substituting him was a calculated gamble. We were 2-0 up at half-time, so it was job done and I took him off.”
