Jones denies quit rumours

Hearts of Oak's head coach Cecil Jones Attuquayefio has revealed that he is staying at the club, quashing rumours that he is about to leave.

The coach admitted that he threatened to leave the club in the heat of the moment, but added that the support he has received from the fans convinced him to stay.

Jones had earlier accused certain board members of trying to influence team affairs, and instigating the recent attacks made on him during the game at Adansiman United.

The boss will now hold talks with the Hearts board in an attempt to reconcile their differences.
