Abiesi Chief donates equipment to Young Starlets FC

Coaltar, E/R, Jan.30, GNA - Nana Kumi Abiesi II, Chief of Abiesikrom near Coaltar in the Suhum Kraboa Coaltar District on Thursday presented sports equipment worth 2,000 Ghana Cedis to Young Starlet F/C. The equipment include 2 sets of jerseys, 2 footballs, 2 sets of hose, 2 sets of pants and a first aid box. Presenting the items, Nana Abiesi said the gesture is geared towards sports development in the area and urged the team, which is now in the 3rd Division to continue and qualify to the second Division and the premier league.

Dan Mensah, captain of the team who received the items on behalf of the team commended Nana Kumi Abiesi and assured that the items would be put to good use. Coach Yaw Ampofo called on the youth of the area to engage in sports activities and called on the chiefs and philanthropists to emulate the example of Nana Kumi Abiesi. 30 Jan. 08
