Coach 'Milo' ponders Amoah' call-up

Accra, Sept 23, GNA - Black Stars coach, Milovan Rajevac is considering extending a call-up to Dutch-based striker Matthew Amoah for next month's crucial Group Five 2010 World Cup/African Cup of Nations qualifier against Lesotho.

Amoah has not played for the Black Stars since he was left out of the Ghana 2008 African Cup of Nations due to injury, but his current form in the Dutch Eredivise excites the Stars trainer.

"Amoah has scored four goals in three matches in a major European League like the Netherlands and I have to observe him more closely." Milovan told the GNA Stars that he will monitor the NAC Breda striker when he embarks on his European tour next week. "My tour of Europe will see me observe players who are currently in the team and those who have been out for sometime as well as other potentials."

The Serb also hinted that he has been keeping an eye on ASEC Mimosas Ghanaian-born goalkeeper Daniel Yeboah, and might take an action on him very soon. "I have heard much about the ASEC goalkeeper and he is in my plans."

Meanwhile, Yeboah, who turns 24 on November 13, has featured for the Ivorian U-20 team and was a member of the squad that participated at the FIFA World Youth Championship in the United Arab Emirates in 2003. He made a return to Cote d'Ivoire after stints early this year with French sides SC Bastia, Villemomble Sports and US Creitel between 2000 and 2008. 23 Sept. 08
