Hearts' sacked coach employed in Nigeria

Nigerian premier league club Heartland FC have named Bulgarian Mitkov Dobrev as their new coach.

The 53-year-old Dobrev has been handed a one-year deal and replaces Ben Duamlong, who led the club to the last four of the country's FA Cup recently.

Dobrev guided Hearts of Oak to Ghana's league championship last season but parted company with the Accra-based side after a pay dispute.

"This is a new challenge for me but I'm up to it," said Dobrev.

"My target is to win the league with Heartland," he added.

The 20-team Nigerian league kicks off on 1 September
