B/A, Bofo Supporters Jubilate Over Zico's Dismisal

Space FM, Sunyani, July 19 - Supporters of B/A United and Tano Bofoakwa, have since Tuesday been jubilating openly following the shocking dismisal of Kingsley Osei Bonsu, aka Lord Zico, as Chairman of Dormaa Aduana Stars.

The Omanhene of the Dormaa Traditional Area, Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu II, fired Lord Zico without offering any reason, prompting Zico to immediately demand the release of 19 players he procured from his own resources for the team.

The joy of the supporters stem from the fact that with exit of Zico, Aduana Stars would be weakened and would not pose any further threat to their division one campaigns.

Lord Zico's dismisal came as a big surprise to many soccer followers because for the period that he managed the team, Aduana Stars recorded sterling perfomances but supporters of B/A United and Tano Bofoakwa thanked their stars for the decision of the Dormaahene.

45 five year old Frank Agyei could not hide his feeeling when he told Spacenews that " this is a great day for me as a supporter of B/A United because with the exit of Zico, we can sleep without worrying about how to qualify for the primiership".

Another die hard supporter of B/A United, Amadu Tanko simply said " Allah deals for his chosen ones and nothing can stop the righteous from succeeding".

Bofoakwa supporters held the view that though they not pray for their opponents to suffer, they do not also pray for their arch rivals do gain strenght over them.

Yaw Osei, who has been supporting Bofo since 1987, told Spacenews that "when trouble befalls your opponent, you do not weep but take advantage nad make an impact. We know Zico was a big hurdle for us but now that he has been fired, who says Bofo can't make it". Mariamatu Memuna, a popular soccer fan pointed out that Lord Zico and his Aduana Stars have been a hurdle for Bofo and B/A United and is glad that he has been fired by the Dormaahene, paving way for the two Sunyani teams to make a stronger showing in the region.

"It apperaed Zico knew the weak points of B/A United and was using that to perfection but now that he is no more, insha allahu, B/A would bounce back", she said An accomplished administrator who wishes to remain anonymous, said "Zico had all it takes to ensure crucial victories for Aduana Stars and definitely his dismisal could be a relieve to most teams in the region".
