Ziva Refunds $10,000 To GFA

Accra, Aug. 25 GNA - Mr Milan Zivadinovic, the former coach of the Senior National Team, the Black Stars, has refunded to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) 10,000 dollars out of 15,000 dollars enticement fee he collected from the GFA.

A statement issue in Accra on Monday and signed by Mr Kofi Nsiah, General Secretary of GFA, said after the Coach had left for his home country without the permission of the Association, it filed a complaint with the FA of Serbia Montenegro and FIFA for the refund of the enticement fee of 15,000 dollars it paid to the coach.

The statement said the Coach only worked for three months and was paid 10,000 dollars per month and it is, therefore, not correct for one to assume that the coach owed 45,000 dollars as was heard from a section of the public, the statement said.

The GFA has already written to thank the two overseas bodies for their immense assistance and Ghanaians for their patience and understanding on the matter.
