Zincovit U-13 tournament ends in Accra

The Zincovit Under-13 Male Football Tournament ended in Accra over the weekend at the Ajax Park, Legon, Accra.

The two-day event which was sponsored by Indus Life SCI, Ghana producers of Zincovit, was put together by Varadaros Eventx and supported by the Ghana Education Service (GES), is aimed at helping school children exercise through playing and to help the various schools with sports infrastructure and unearth talents.

Mr. V. Ravichandran, Director of Indus Ghana, said it was part of their social responsibility to help kids through sports development and this being a pilot project in the Accra sub metros which comprised of 10 schools will be extended to the various regions nationwide.

“It is not going to be a one-day event but hopefully an annual event to help unearth talents and schools with various sports infrastructures across the country”.

Mr Emmanuel Dormenyah, the National Director P.E and Sports(GES) thanked Indus SCI and all the schools and urged both teachers and students to put to good use the infrastructure that will be provided them.

The tournament which was a maiden one from Zincovit was won by Laterbiokorsjie 1A primary school.
