Young Kotoko thrash Celtic in Under-12 soccer match

Sunyani, (B/A) Oct. 05 GNA - The Under-12 soccer team of Young Kotoko thrashed their Celtic F/C counterparts 3-0 in the fifth-week of the Sunyani Municipal Juvenile League played at the Anglican Junior High School (JHS) Park at Sunyani at the weekend.

Issaka Musa opened the scores in the 17th minute for his side and held on to their lone goal lead till the end of the first half. Celtic F/C, whose general performance in the League has been unimpressive, as they have only been able to win only a match against Liverpool (2-1) could not find an antidote to the fast rhythm of the Young Kotoko lads in the second half. It therefore came as no surprise when the young "Porcupine" boys scored two more goals through Musah and Hamza Mohammed to give them a 3-0 victory.

In the Under-15 division, Young Kotoko again defeated Celtic 3-0 with Akadeo Antepim scoring two goals in the first half while Amidu Bayer netted the third goal in the second half. At Fiapre Park near Sunyani, Super Stars from Kotokrom drew 2-2 with Eleven Wise in their U-12 encounter while the Kotokrom boys won 1-0 over Eleven Wise in their U-15 encounter. 05 Oct. 10
