Preko, who played for several top European clubs including Belgian giants Anderlecht, has acquired coaching licenses since retiring from playing.

He was a member of the U-17 World Cup winning side in 1991, played in the U-20 team that reached the final of the 1993 edition before losing to Brazil and starred for Ghana at the 1992 Olympic Games.

He also won several caps for the Black Stars as a flying winger.
