West Brom seek to seal Schlupp deal today

English top-flight side West Brom are seeking to seal a deal for Ghana defender Jeffrey Schlupp from Leicester City today.

The 23-year-old was excluded from Leicester's squad that fell 2-1 to Hull City in Saturday's opening Premier League match.

Schlupp's exclusion from the Foxes squad speeds up his quest to leave the Foxes.

That is because the Ghanaian has always been part of the 18-man squad for their matches since last season.

The Baggies made their third offer of £12m for the utility player over the weekend and Leicester are expected to accept the offer.

This will allow the Ghana international to arrive at West Brom for a medical later today for him to complete the move.

West Brom manager views Schlupp as the answer to the Baggies left-back quandary, with Jonny Evans just acting as a makeshift replacement.

Schlupp, who can play at left-back or left wing, made 24 appearances for the Foxes last season, helping them to seal the Premier League title for the first time.
