Weah Cautions Ghana

1995 World Footballer of the Year George Weah has warned African Nations Cup hosts not to underestimate their group opponents. "I have seen Ghanaians celebrating after the draws were made but they should hold their celebration as it not going to be easy," Weah said after the draws for 26th edition of MTN sponsored tournament said.

"Guinea, Namibia, Morocco look to be fair teams for the hosts, but football is a very funny game, the Black Stars have to be at their best and have luck on their side," Weah emphasised.

Weah is the only African to win the world award. He explained that any team aiming for top honours has to deal with giants like Nigeria and Cote de Ivoire.

"The two West African nations along with Cameroon will push Ghana all the way," the former AC Milan, Chelsea and Monaco star said. He tipped Guinea to be the surprise package. He singled out Pascal Feindouno of St Etienne in France as a secret weapon.
Guinea's French coach Robert Nourzaret said that the draw that paired them with hosts Ghana is enough to motivate his players.
