We will survive the Premiership - Amissah

Accra, Nov. 29, GNA - Struggling Tudu Mighty Jets coach, Jonas Amiss= ah, says his charges will survive the Premiership despite a turbulent display=

that has seen them pile a sorry 14 points from a possible 39. The Premiership debutants have won only four times in 13 games and t= he Coach, who joined Jets a few weeks ago, claims the Tudu-based team will eventually come good to enjoy life in the elite division.

He told GNA Sports: "The team is going through some level of transformation and we will continue to fight for the results from now through the second round to ensure survival." Jets put on a show of character against New Edubiase on Sunday when they rallied from behind to win 2-1.

Though coach Amissah was unimpressed with his charges' display, he believes picking all three points was helpful.

He, however, reckons that to clinch a Premiership survival means playing consistently well. "We won but the boys did not play well and I am unhappy about that. "Though last week we lost at Aduana, we played very well and that is=

the sort of performance and consistency I expect from the team weekly." Inexperience has been cited as the biggest bane of Jets, an assertio= n Coach Amissah admits. "The players are very inexperienced and I will have to continue to insist on what they must do to begin to produce the results. They are yet= to implement the few tricks I have taught them to get the team better, but I=

will continue to push until we achieve our goal." Coach Amissah is also keen on taking advantage of the opened transfe= r window to beef up his team defensively, in middle and attack with experienced players in search of a Premiership stay.
