Hearts of Oak midfielder Samudeen Ibrahim has revealed that they will still chase for the league title despite drawing with Liberty Professionals. Hearts of Oak failed to capitalize on moving to the top of the league table after Wa All Stars losing to Kotoko by a goal to nothing.

The skillful midfielder was hugely criticized by their former head coach Kenichi Yatshuhatsi for failing to get the required requisite to feature into his tactics but was able to prove that he still has some beautiful football in him when he played against Liberty Professionals in the week 17 fixtures of the Ghana Premier League.

Striker Cosmos Dauda got the equalizer for the Phobian club but failed to protect their net when Bernard Arthur got the consolation goal for Liberty Professionals.

Speaking to the media after the match, the energetic midfielder said, “We all know that we are chasing for the league title and everybody’s target is to win the trophy and we as club that is our absolute target.

“Playing Aduana Stars is what we have to focus on now because Liberty Professionals match is now is now a thing of the past so we will go back to the drawing board and rectify all our mistakes and see what will happen against Aduana Stars.

“Draw is part of the game but we are disappointed with what happened. We had the first goal but we allowed complacency to overtake us and they took advantage of that but we are still disappointed with the draw that we had.

Asked on how he feels about his comeback, he said, “I am really satisfied because I am gradually picking up.

“I know the fans are there for me and I am also here to serve the fans of the club so whatever I have to do to give my best to the fans, I will do it so they should expect nothing but the best out of me” he added.
