"We stand a chance"- Suleimana

Hangzou, China, Sept 14, GNA - Ghana Black Queens ace goalkeeper, Suleimana Memunatu says her team stands a chance of progressing to the next stage of the FIFA Women's Championship underway in China. Ghana needs all three points to begin the process of a possible advancement to the last eight of the quadrennial event when they meet Canada at the Hangzou Dragon Stadium on Saturday.

Even though the Canadians are favoured ahead of the duel, the ace goalkeeper is convinced the team can tower above their opponents when they put up the right approach to the game. Memunatu, regarded among the best in the world told GNA Sports in Hangzou that, "It will be unwise for any one to underestimate us because we lost heavily to the Australians.

"It is a truism that the game of football can be unfair sometimes because that score line was not such a fair reflection of the game. "But we have picked up useful lessons and I'm convinced that with the kind of correction and resolve made so far, we can shock all against Canada on Saturday."

The ever-confident goalie with the rest of the team reckons that Saturday's task is not insurmountable.

"Everything is possible under this sun and I think it will not be out of place for us to win against Canada".

Keeper Suliemana would be doing her usual beat in the posts with the hope that the strikers take their chances to achieve that desired results that could revive their dream.
