"We need to encourage Black Stars to win" - Daasebre

Koforidua, Jan. 25 GNA - Daasebre Professor Emeritus Oti Boateng, Omanhene of New Juaben Traditional Area, on Friday urged Ghanaians to lend their unflinching support to the senior national team, the Black Stars and not to be disappointed with their performance. He said at "this crucial stage of the tournament, where the Black Stars have managed to get the maximum six points out of the two matches so far played, Ghanaians need to encourage them to win the trophy. "Above all, the Black Stars need the crucial spiritual contemplation to stay focused and rise to the occasion." In a press release copied to the GNA Sports, Daasebre Professor Oti Boateng, said the most compelling aspect of football lay in its sheer unpredictability, which was why the game continues to captivate the minds of several millions worldwide. "If there is absolute certainty and precision, the game will lose its appeal and lustre". Daasebre Oti Boateng said all the 16 teams were in the competition with the supreme purpose of winning the trophy but at the end of the competition, only one would be crowned the Champion of African Football.
