Executive Committee Member of the Ghana Football Association, Nana Bayin Eyisson has revealed that the FA is 70 percent done securing a sponsor for the Ghana Premier League.

This year’s Premier League has been played without a sponsor after the main headline sponsor First Capital Plus pulled their sponsorship deal.

The action of the First Capital Plus delayed the league from starting and due to that the FA organized a competition called Elite Cup Competition but was not necessary when the league started. Club chairmen and administrators have called on the FA to get a sponsor because they don’t have enough funds to run their various clubs but the good news is that the President of Sekondi Hasaacas has confidently confirmed that the FA is 70 percent done securing a sponsor for the league next season.

“We can’t sleep over this sponsor-less league and by the will of God we will get a sponsor for the league next season.” Nana told Asempa Sports in an interview.

“We have spoken to some of the comapnies and two of them are almost 70 percent done so we believe that the league will not be the same because we know that all the clubs are suffering.

The performance of Sekondi Hasaacas has not being stable in the second round. After 23 matches played, the Sekondi based club have won 8, drawn 4 and lost 11.

Quizzed if Sekondi Hasaacas is on the verge of being relegated, Nana said, “We all saw where Ashgold were occupying on the league log and by the Grace of God they are have escaped relegation so I will say that this year has not been good for us and you can see that all our effort are not working but I strongly believe that we will never be relegated.” Nana concluded.
