We'll go season unbeaten - Jerry Asare

THE Director of Operations of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Mr. Jerry Asare has said that Kotoko will go the whole season unbeaten if their early season form is anything to go by. Mr. Asare, affectionately known as “show” in football circles for his flamboyance believes that with the current form of the Fabulous boys, he sees no club in the country at the moment that can stand up to the might of the Porcupine Warriors. He said this after Kotoko's impressive performance against newly promoted Zaytuna FC last Sunday at the Carl Reindorf Park at Dansoman. It will be recalled that Zaytuna were making mockery of Kotoko's first league victory against Gamba All Blacks saying “Kotoko can run but cannot hide” after Kotoko had failed to honour an invitation to play a friendly game with them at the recently ended Metro TV Soccer Academy. He said they proved the doubters wrong by that emphatic victory.

Meanwhile Mr. Asare has warned those unscrupulous ruffians who call themselves Kotoko fans who are bent on testing his patience to desist from those unsavoury acts after an incident which left a sour taste in his mouth. He recounted an experience when a supposed fan of Kotoko wanted the team to change their route and divert to a different route during last Sunday's match against Zaytuna United. He said he had to personally intervene to stop that “nonsense”. Jerry said that was the second time in succession that that he had had the unpleasant experience of confronting a supposed Kotoko fan in recent times after some supposed Kotoko fans nearly attacked him for his money after refusing to acquiesce to their demands to give them money.
