We have to sit up - Konadu

Assistant coach of the Black Stars Maxwell Konadu insists that Ghana has to prepare very well ahead of the 2015 AFCON if indeed they want qualify out of Group C.

The Black Stars were placed in the same group with Senegal, South Africa and Algeria at the draw of the 2015 AFCON which was held at the Sipopo Convention Centre in the Equatorial Guinea capital on Wednesday night.

Speaking to reporters after the draw, Maxwell did not mince words on the need for the Black Stars to have what he termed, a ‘solid preparation’, before they play their first match of the tournament against Senegal.

“Normally first matches of every competition are one of the toughest games.I believe that we have to sit up and prepare very well because this group is not as easy as people see it.”

“We need to put our house in order and do the right things at the right time and we will be fine”, Maxwell added.

Ghana will need nothing less than two wins and a draw to scale through to the next stage of the competition.
