We don't mean to hurt Nigeria - GFA

GHANA Football Association, GFA, says it is not making mockery of Nigeria's Super Eagles after giving conditions to play an international friendly with the Nigerian team.

The GFA has been quoted to have said it will only play friendly with the Eagles if Nigeria eventually books a slot for the 2010 World Cup. Ghana is already through to the Mundial.

"It is a statement of plans, and not to put pressure on Nigeria," said GFA member, Frederick Pappoe.

"We intend to play friendlies with the stuff we shall meet at The World Cup and when the Nigeria business comes on the card, we have to accept it on conditions.

"In fact, it is our wish that Nigeria gets there because a lot of Nigerians stood routing for us at the 2006 World Cup in Germany," he explained.
