We don’t fear Olympics, says Boampong

Hearts Of Oak defender Philip Boampong insists the side has no fears coming up against an experienced Great Olympics in the Accra derby on Sunday.

The Phobians will face an expected stern test when they face their town rivals who are unbeaten in three successive games.

The Wonder club are profiting from the guidance of experienced trio, Godwin Attram, Richard Kingson and Dan Quaye.

But Philip Boampong says these players are far past their best to worry his side on Sunday.

“The time of Dan Quaye is passed,” he said.

“We know Olympics are coming with a lot of experienced players but their times are past.

“This is the time of the new era. When they were on top, we all knew what they could do.

“But their times are passed. I respect them a lot but their times are passed and we will beat them to take our three points.”
