We can cope without Appiah & Muntari - Amoah

Ghana striker Mathew Amoah believes the Black Stars can gel at next month's Africa Cup of Nations without influential duo Stephen Appiah and Sulley Muntari who were dropped from the squad.

Appiah was dropped due to a calf injury and Muntari was rejected based on his poor disciplinary record.

The NAC Breda goalpoacher claims their replacements can fill the vacuum and live up to expectation when the competition kicks-off on 10 January.

"I don't really think their absence will be a problem at all. We have good players who can play and I think they can do the job well," Amoah told Joy FM.

"I spoke to Stephen Appiah and I know he's injured but I haven't spoken to Sulley Muntari yet. It's the coach who takes the decisions."

Amoah was joint topscorer for Ghana in 2010 joint Nations Cup/World Cup qualifers.
